In this video I build an all natural shelter called a debris hut.
It is built from sicks and materials from the forest floor.
I spend two nights camping in the shelter.
I'm joined by 2 friends, we have a great time eating bacon, and a lot more cooked over the fire, join us!

Building a Bushcraft Shelter WITHOUT TOOLS and Sleeping in it
I head out into the woods with my dog Monty to build a shelter without using any tools and only using materials found on the ground. We finally start to hear the sounds of spring as we cook up delicious food over a campfire!

MAKING A RAISED SHACK SHELTER CAMP - Axe, Saw, Bushcraft, SOLO BUILD
Join me as I build a raised shack shelter at the bushcraft camp site. I use minimal tools. An axe, saw and bushcraft knife. I make wood supports using 'Y' shaped sticks to build a raised platform that forms the foundation of the shelter. Using wood already cut from my bushcraft camp, I then make the shelter stilted or raised to keep it off the ground. The structure is completely self supporting, and although cordage isn't needed, I decided to scavenge for some tree roots and processed them down with my knife to use as cordage for the timber frame. This is part 1 of the camp build. In part 2 I will build the lean to roof and collect natural materials to cover it. Thanks for joining the adventure!

48h Camp and Build Large Permanent Super Shelter on Newly Acquired Property
Shawn James and I head to his newly acquired property in Central Ontario to start on one of many upcoming projects.
We build a large Adirondack style supershelter while camping out for 2 nights.
NOTE:All trees were harvested from Shawns own private property, in the same mentality one would use while building a log cabin, which will also soon be built on the same property.

How to Build a Bushcraft Shelter
This is a selection of footage from the previous Bushcraft Camp episodes edited into one, with no talking, just one shorter bushcraft shelter building video.
I've included footage from digging the camp fire pit, building the bushcraft shelter roof and walls, and building the fire reflector.
The Bushcraft Camp series has been a lot of fun creating, probably because of all of the challenges I faced building it through winter.
Building a natural survival shelter from the materials I could find in the woods has been an interest of mine for a long time, so finally getting out and doing it was well worth the effort.
By building this camp I had the opportunity to practice Bushcraft & Survival skills while doing solo overnight camps at the same time. The project gave me the opportunity to learn and also improve on skills that I already had.
Bushcraft, Canoe Building and Wild Camping are my passions, and there's one other - photography and video.
Creating these videos has been a great exercise for me to practice my photography and film making skills in the harshest environment I've worked in so far. The winter snow storms were an incredible challenge as a one man film crew.
I've used this video as an opportunity to practice my video editing skills. Using some the footage that I had from the previous Bushcraft series, I've edited this short video and tried a different colour grading to (try to) emulate a 'Super 8' style look. So, you will notice that the colours are softer and darker and there is more grain to the footage.
As a creator I want to continue to try new things while I develop the style and look that best reflects what I do. I don't think this colour profile did it, but it was worth the effort and practice.
I hope you can appreciate that as a viewer of my channel you will be exposed to my trials, and that even though most of the time those trials will have to do with bushcraft, canoe building and wild camping, once in a while they will also include things like creating and editing video.
For me, its all about the "ExploreFurther" idea.
Thanks for watching.
